Today the VMware Demo truck was setup at Dave and Buster’s in Houston.  I took a couple of pictures.

If you haven’t had a chance to check it out, see if it is coming to a town near you.  You can check it’s travel schedule at http://info.vmware.com/content/VMwareExpress.

Not much going on?

Posted in Uncategorized on May 20, 2010 by vmwareinsider

I know.  It’s been awhile since I had anything to say about VMware.  I have really been focused on Cisco endeavors.  But, I’m working on something, that if it happens, will provide quite a bit of comments related to VMware.  Hang tight.

The VMworld 2009 Party

I’ve got lots to say about the VMworld party, but I can’t hear myself think.  My ears are ringing so bad, because I was right in front of the center stage speaker for the Foreigner concert.  So, here’s a couple of videos from the concert.

I’ll post more pictures and videos, so my available wi-fi bandwidth allows.  Right now, I’m ‘borrowing’ bandwidth from an adjacent hotel.  My lovely, hole in the wall, hotel doesn’t have wireless in the rooms.

The first video shows the effect that is projected from the video screens behind the stage, when you where the geek – I mean, 3D – glass VMware was passing out.  The effect in the video is good.  The effect to the opposite sex, when you are wearing them – not so good.

I was so close to the stage, I can’t hear anything.  In fact, I’m scared to look in the mirror, because my ears might be bleeding.

But, Foreigner can still play the Rock N Roll, for being about 30 years past their prime.

Missed the concert?  Interested in knowing what they played?

I was close enough to the stage to have snapped a picture of the play list.  Here you go –

VMworld 2009 Keynote Introductions

Posted in VMworld 2009 with tags , on September 2, 2009 by vmwareinsider

The keynote introductions at VMworld 2009 have been very entertaining.

I took a couple of videos, from the last two days.

The voice sounds a lot like Denis Leary?

You guys will like the VMworld 2009 Lab Setup.

There are lots of guys hanging out in the standby line.  If you are sitting on the back row, help a guy out, and let them peek over your shoulder.

Going down the escalators at the Moscone center, VMware has an impressive set-up of servers.  Many of them are Cisco UCS servers.  Check out the video.  More later.
